Life over that past 1.5 years...

So... I am pretty sure that by now nobody ever reads my blog. Unlike Tim, who has faithful readers. Again I don't have alot of time. (It's Friday... Enough said.) But in the few minutes I have, let us see what we can share...

Family
My cousin Gayle got married on Sept. 6, 2009. It was a nice wedding in San Diego. Hot, but nice. Wouldn't you know it... The one day we have her out door wedding over looking the Pacific Ocean it was hot and there was barely a breeze to cool us off. But it was a beautiful wedding.

I now have more family here in the states. By now, three have moved here. Yay! Just waiting for the rest.

Sad note here. My mom's aunt passed away this past sunday. Yup, on Feb. 14. It's a sad time for my family and extended family. I ask that you please pray for us.

Friends
Tim and Sunny moved out of Loma Linda after Tim graduated from Med school. They are now in Ohio where he is a resident at Kettering. They were able to visit us a couple of weeks ago and it was really good to see them. Of course I got to see them at GYC... Don't be strangers out here guys!!

The McNulty's are also gone. Norman's defferred mission appointee service finally came up. They left on Feb. 1. Soon they will be on their way to Trinidad where Norman will be serving in the mission field for six years. I really wonder how much of a tan he will get by living so close to the equator... :-)

Ministries
GYC 2009: unASHAMED! -- GYC 2009 was in Louisvile, KY. I was so blessed to be able to go. How I made it out there was a series of miracles. I was blessed by the meetings, blessed by the fellowship, and blessed by helping AudioVerse get everything recorded. Almost everything is now up on the main site where anybody can LISTEN AND DOWNLOAD ALL FOR FREE all the recordings from GYC 2009! Next year: Baltimore, Maryland!

Restoration -- Restoration was good and is gonna be good. WAS GOOD: For the first time, Restoration had meetings on campus back in October and it was good! Dr. Michael Hasel shared some really neat stuff on Archaeology and the Bible. You should listen to them if you can on AudioVerse.
GONNA BE GOOD: Restoration is going to be having their annual long series of meetings next week here at LLU. The speaker is Jeffrey Rosario. "Questions I'd Like to Ask God" is the theme. For those who can make it please come! www.RestorationMinistry.net has all of the details.

Advent HOPE -- At the end of the 2008-2009 school year Advent HOPE needed a new place to call home as Burden Hall was about to undergo some renovations. We have been blessed to be at the Loma Linda University Church Campus Chapel. It has been nice there, except for the space. Almost every Sabbath we would have people standing in the back and sides. Praise God! Starting tomorrow morning, we will be at the Damazo Amphitheater at the Centennial Complex. It seats 350, which is a big jump from a seating capacity of 250. Tomorrow's speaker is Dr. Eric Walsh. It's gonna be good.

Other stuff
Earthquakes -- We have been having a lot of small ones over the past week. Way more than is usual. Well, better lots of small ones than a massive one, right??

It is time once again for another comprehensive update. So, away we go...

Family
My cousin Lyn and her then fiance Mark are now married. They got married at the end of May. It was a nice ceremony. I did not make it to the reception, though. But I heard that it went well.

My cousin Gayle is finally engaged!!! JR and her are planning on a wedding next year. I hope everything goes well for them. (In case you are wondering what took so long, JR was wanting to finish school before he popped the question. Good move if you ask me.)

Friends
My friends Ben Fellows and Marta Olteanu got married this summer. Now that they are married, maybe Ben can start helping at the church with the media ministry... :) I wish them the best!!

Tim Arakawa and Sunny Kim also got married this summer. They had their wedding at the LLU Church. At the reception I found out how their relationship really had ups and downs. I also with them the best!!

Speaking of Tim, he, Shawn Koh, and other friends graduated this past June from Loma Linda University. Tim finally got his (paper) degree in the mail.

Conferences
Southwest Youth Conference was good this year. The speakers were good and the messages really good. Some changes though for next year. Since Norman will not be around next year because of his going into the mission field, Angie David is the new director for SWYC. I know she will do fine.

I am actually going to Generation of Youth for Christ this year. I am glad that it is in San Jose, just up the coast from SoCal. I have never been to one so I am not sure what to expect. I still need to finish some planning for the event.

History
As many of you know, this year's presidential elections were historical. It was either the first woman VP or the first African-American Pres. The people of the USA have spoken and we will be swearing in the first African-American President ever! This country has come along way from its forming, to the forming of the Constitution which allowed slavery, to the Civil War, to the Civil Rights movements, to now. A very long way indeed!

Proposition 8 passed and I Praise God!!!

I know that I need to post another "comprehensive" update, but due to the time right now, a minor one will have to do.

There have been weddings, anniversaries, and graduations to name a few of the things that have happened since May 24, my last post date.

I will ask one favor. I have decided to give Bible studies at my school. I do not know as much as say Norman or Tim or Alistair, but I can share what little I do know. Seeing as how I attend a public comm. college, there are probably tons of people who are searching. I am starting with about 3 or 4 people attending. Please pray for these people, the studies themselves, and one big thing. . . I currently still need to find some help in giving these studies. I still need my core group of helpers. Please pray that I find them.

Haven't we been here before? I mean me not posting for a really long time? Sorry. . . The last post I have before this one was one at the end of 2007. The last time that I really posted on life events was on September 7, 2007, and before that last may. . .
I have a few minutes so away we go. . .

So in the past 5 1/2 months that have gone by lots have happened or not happened.

Family. . .
My family celebrated my grandfather's birthday. It was cool. It was still kind of bittersweet with grandma no longer around.

Last time I really posted, my cousin Dennis and cousin-in-law Jaylene were expecting their first child. Well, Jaiden has been around for a couple of months. Yay!

My cousin Lyn is still engaged and due to me married next Sabbath. One week to go. It is really nice that the wedding is going to be here in town and my family and I do not have to drive to far.

Friends. . .
Tomorrow is the commencement ceremony for Loma Linda University School of Medicine, Graduate School, School of Pharmacy, and School of Dentistry. I do not know how many people from Advent HOPE are graduating or how many other people outside of Advent HOPE are graduating. I do know that Tim Arakawa and Shawn Koh are graduating. Yay! Congrats to you both, and to all those who have finished school. (Now you can start paying back those loans. . . have fun.)

Tim will still be around. He is finishing his Ph.D. and will now finish his fourth year of medical school.

Speaking of others still being around, Norman has decided to stay for an additional year. He is finishing his fourth year of residency in Neurology, and will be taking a one year fellowship in the same field.

Over at Upland, the Rhebok family has gone through a lot. Two people getting heart attacks, one of them passing away, while the other survived, and also had some other ailments come so very soon. Please pray for them.

Conferences. . .
Generación de Jóvenes para Cristo (GJC)
Generación de Jóvenes para Cristo (GJC) -- [A GYC in Spanish] is going on at Andrews Universtiy in Michigan. Some friends of mine are there including Carlos, who is in charge of recording the programs. He and six other people drove non-stop to get there. Thanks be to God that they made it there safe and that the tornados that occured in Colorado did not touch them.

Western Youth Conference
This year WYC takes place from June 26-29, 2008 at Weimar, CA. The theme is "Something Better." This is coming up really soon, so register NOW!!

SouthWest Youth Conference
SWYC's website has been updated.  This year's conference goes from August 29 - September 1, 2008 at Pine Springs Ranch. Registration has not yet opened but stay tuned!

GYC
Generation of Youth for Christ is going to be in California this year. Yay! It is from December 17-21, 2008 in San Jose. Registration isn't open yet, but keep this in mind. San Jose, CA in December hopefully will be more 'appreciated' than Minnesota in December. [No offence to Minnesota:)]

School. . .
School for me does not end until mid June. Please pray for me. I hope I can finish something this time around.

Other things. . .
I led out in a Bible study on what happens when we die. It was a good study, and if anybody would like a copy of my notes, please post a comment and I will see what I can do.

I also help with a Bible study that meets on sundays. Please pray for a couple of things; A couple of family problems, and health. It is better for me not to say more, so I thank you in advance.

Things are getting hectic. With my current schedule sometimes it is hard for quality time with God. This can happen to any one of us. Let me encourage those who have fallen in this predicament.  It is easy to get there, but we do not have to stay there.  Try harder to spend that quality time.  Especially in prayer.  The devil loves it when we do not pray.  He is not to concerned when we study God's word as much as he is worried when we pray.  The devil trembles when we pray.  Why?  Think about it. . . When we pray we are talking with God Himself.  When we pray, some very powerful things can happen. A powerful quote from a wonderful book called Christ's Object Lessons p. 250 says, "Prayer turns aside the attacks of Satan."

I could type more, but it is late. I wish everyone a good week in the Lord!!

Greetings to all,

I hope that when you read this you have had a blessed and thoughtful Christmas. Well at the time I started writing this, there are only 4 more hours until 2008 is here. I am not sure what to think. I personally have mixed thoughts at this time of year. With one year ending comes a chance to look back at how we have grown--mentally, physically, and most importantly, spiritually. With another year beginning, is the chance to start new things that will help us grow in these areas. May I suggest something? This new year, "Take time". Take time for quiet time with God. It really helps. Take time to pray, study His Word the Bible, and just meditate on how much He loves you and how much cares for you. Take time to enjoy some things that you would not (as of now) normally enjoy.

With the new year upon us may we all strive to be more like Jesus!!

Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.

Sorry, but I am not actually at GYC this year. Although I should have gone... :( However I did see the evening session on 3abn just a few minutes earlier. Good stuff. If you know about GYC, please make plans to attend next year which will be in San Jose, California.

Please also keep someone in your prayers, Al Huong. I do not know too much right now, but he is in the hospital in critical condition. He is a friend, and young man who is very committed to serving God.

Calling all available help...!!

I am writing this post to ask for all available help. Why? I was watching 3abn a few days ago and on one of their "commercials" they had one that stated that the FCC (Federal Communications Commssion - the government agency incharge of tv, radio, and other media transmissions) will soon be accepting applications for new, full-powered, non-commercial radio stations starting October. That is less than 3 weeks away!

I am asking for all available help to assist in securing a FM station for the use of spreading the Gospel and the Three Angels Message. Please comment on this blog post and let me know if you can help, or if you know of somebody that can!! This is a huge opportunity that we can NOT MISS OUT ON!!!!! There may not be another chance like this for a very long time. Let us grab hold of the opportunity before we loose it. Too many souls are at stake for us to miss out!!

If you look at the date of my last post that I actually posted (and not just left as a draft that was unposted), then you will realize that my blog was on a brief hiatus. Not for any good reason like Tim, who has been through so much with school and other things. My last post with details of life was way back at the end of May. Yikes! So here we go....

Southwest Youth Conference 2007
This was a blessing. All I can say right now is that everyone, and I MEAN EVERYONE, needs to make plans to attend SWYC 2008 (if the LORD does not come first)!!!!! The sermons were good, and it was really nice to be in the mountains. If you could not make it, do not despair! All of the sermons will be posted on Audioverse.org soon. There was a lot of good stuff. But please be patient. The people who recorded the sermons and Q&A session need time to edit them and fix them for audio problems. They have a lot of work. Thanks

GYC 2007
GYC now has a new name. It used to mean General Youth Conference. Now it stands for Generation of Youth for Christ. Don't worry. It is still the same thing, just a new name. Please plan on making it this year. It will be in Minneapolis, Minnesota this year, so please plan for snow and cold. Registration is now open.

Operation Global Rain--360
Operation Global Rain was this past late June and early July. It was good. At SWYC, I found out that next year it will have a new twist. It is called OGR 360. Visit www.operationglobalrain.com to find out more.

Alistair got a new Mac. Congrats to Al. Tim bought a Dell. Condolences to Tim. Say Norman, if you are reading this, I know that you are the neurologist here, but if you are looking for a new computer, get a Mac. It will save you some mental stress in the future... Right Tim? But wait until at least October when the new operating system comes out. Watch out for Leopard!

Other Stuff...
CCBN. Creator's Call is moving along. We videotaped SWYC this year. It was the first time we filmed something using our road cases. They worked fine. Of course, with most things, improvements can be made. We do need alot of help. We need more volunteers. So if you are interested, or know of somebody that might be interested in helping with this video ministry, please visit www.creatorscall.org/.

With September now here, that means the fall term of school is upon us. Yay....... :/ But that means that with school comes the opportunity for us to make new friends and introduce more people to Christ. At SWYC, during the Q & A session, someone asked an interesting question. They asked if they should pretty much leave school and go into mission work since they are convicted that there is not much time left. The response of the panelists, I thought, was good. They said that we could be missionaries wherever we are. They also said that we should excel in our education, that way we people will trust us more seeing as we excel in our studies. Plus how can we be good missionaries in the mission field, if we can not be good students in school? I may have botched up their answers but listen to the Q&A session of SWYC and listen for yourself.

Something to think about...

Here are a couple of verses that came to mind earlier today and it just stuck out.

Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months. And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.
James 5 : 17,18 King James Version.

It mentions Elijah (here called Elias) and how he was just like us and went through the same things we go through. He "was a man subject to like passions as we are...". That stuck out in my mind. To me it says that Elijah, this great prophet and man of God was just like us and was susceptible to the things that we are susceptible to. Yet the Bible says that he prayed earnestly for three and a half months that it would not rain, and it did not. Then he prayed again and it did rain. Except for the fact that he was a prophet, Elijah was just like us and he prayed and things happened. Big things... How often do we earnestly pray and believe that big things will happen? How often do we ask for something really big? I am not talking about things like asking for a big house or a fancy expensive car. I am talking about things like asking God to work through us to reach people. A lot of people. I am talking about asking God to bring revival in our church. I am talking about giving us unity and primitive Godliness. Things like that. Elijah was a man just like us. What if we prayed like that, with that earnestness? Do not think you have earnestness like Elijah? Ask God for it. He will give it to you. Just have faith. "And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit."
Just something to think about... Any thoughts?

As we are at that time of the year when the school year ends, friends will be coming and going. One of the may good things about friends is that they are there right when you need them. I was once again reminded that we will ALWAYS HAVE a friend in Jesus!! The way I see it, He is always our Best Friend!!! Why not make Him yours if you have not already???

It has been a long while since I posted anything about what has been going on in my life so catching up we go.......

Family...
Things are going ok here. My cousin Dennis finally go married to his girlfriend back on April 29. They have been together for about 12 years if I remember right. They both live in Fresno or in the surrounding area, so my family and I packed up and drove up. It was about a four hour drive. I did not feel right leaving until after Sabbath sunset. We left Saturday night and arrived in Fresno about one in the morning. (Yawn...). The wedding was outdoors at a really nice lake. The ceremony was nice. I was one of the ushers, which was fun, except for the fact that I had to stand in the sun and to what I had to do. That would have been ok, but it was in the mid 90's, and being next to a lake you better believe the humidity was not that welcome. The wedding and reception went ok. Welcome to the family Ate Jaylene!

Another cousin, Emily, will be graduating in two weeks from Loma Linda University. She will be graduating with a masters in family therapy. Of course, coming from our family, she can help all of us out... j/k.

Another cousin, Lyn, graduated this past Friday afternoon with her degree in optamology. Now we can all get free checkups!! Thanks Ate. Congrats to you both!!

During a break between the pharmacology and dentistry commencements, I went over with Tim to his place to relax and hang out. Norman and Joelle, and Paul and Janie were there too. We looked at pictures, saw videos, talked about stuff, the girls talked about their weddings coming up, and we watched the Advent HOPE end of the year slide show again. Joelle, Paul and Janie all missed it. It was fun. Thanks Tim for the invite.

Speaking of Advent HOPE, we had our annual end of the year slide show. It was cool. It was really cool seeing Gizmo in a suit. Also with Jason now moving to Florida for his residency, Norman is our new director. God's blessings on you Norman as you take the lead!!

Speaking of Gizmo, he is leaving tomorrow. His family is moving to Kansas. God bless you and your family Gizmo as you now move on to Kansas!

Other stuff...
Contraray to one of my earlier posts, school did not start for me back in April. I am hoping that, Lord willing, I can start again in June and finish my degree (finally) in December.

Creator's Call is coming along nicely. We have more programs on the website www.creatorscall.org, and more are on the way once we get them edited. Right now some of our fellow volunteers are on their way out of state to film a series. Have fun guys.

Operation Global Rain...

Greetings to all.

Sorry for not posting in a little while. I wanted to help spread the news about something that has the serious potential to be REALLY HUGE!! We are seriously talking on a global scale. Operation Global Rain is a serious effort for people around the world to pray for the latter rain. What is the latter rain? If you have a Bible around, please look up the following verses: 2 Chronicles 7:13-14 and Joel 2:15,16,18,23. If you do not have a Bible handy, here are those verses.

If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people; If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
2 Chronicles 7: 13-14

4 in 1... in a very bad way...

I need to make this short and I will post more later. I ask that you please keep my family and "immediate-extended" family in your prayers. We have lost 4 family member in less then 1 year. We just laid our fourth family member to his temporary rest. It is hard. I know that I have not posted much in the past on this area of our lives in the past, but it has been one of the most, if not the most, challenging, faith testing, and hard things to go through. I know that God is in control and that nothing happens without His "O.K" , but there may be, and very well could be, others in my family that are wondering. I just hope that among all this that we all stay faithful to Jesus, and that for those who need to comeback in whatever way, and whatever distance to God, do. Thanks ahead for the prayers.

A lot has happened since I have posted a lengthy post. So let us try and see if I can make one now, shall we?

Restoration 2007 has come to an end. (Aawwww...) It was fun this year, even though it was only 6 days. This year's the speaker was Pastor Ivor Myers. If anybody missed them, you can listen to them for free on the Restoration website, and on the Audioverse website. Creator's Call video recorded the meetings and they will be available on DVD soon. Maybe in a few days. If you would like to obtain a copy, go to the Restoration website.

On a side note, Pastor Myers will be one of the speakers at Southwest Youth Conference this year.

Lots here. Programs are coming along. Now that we have our own equipment, videotaping is a lot easier. I just checked the website and we have eight programs that you can watch online.

Other stuff...
School does not start for me for another couple of weeks. I was hoping to finish by the end of the spring, but maybe by summer or fall.

My friend Mark finally has a Mac. Yay! Now all he has to do is get the programs he needs. Speaking of Mark, he and Martin both passed their nursing boards. Praise God! Now they can help reach out in two ways, physically and spiritually. Please keep them in prayer as they look for the right place for them to work.

My friend Tim bought a newer car. His old rice-rocket finally gave out. Even rockets can not be used always and last forever. It is a Nissan. Go check out his website and see.

Norman and Joelle are now engaged. From what I hear their wedding may be alot sooner than some think. I wonder what their kids will look like....

With today being the 11th of March, I am reminded that some friends of mine who are fourth year medical students will know on Thursday where they will be going for residency. For those who do not know what happens, every fourth year medical student goes and interviews at various hospitals to check out their residency programs. Long explanation short, they chose their top 10 choices and see where they end up. I hope all goes well for you guys!

Family stuff...
Normally I would start with this topic but I decided to end with this this time. It is almost be a year since my grandmother passed away after a long battle with illness. I miss her alot. It has been hard on my whole family, especially my grandfather.

My extended family has been through a lot over the past year. In less than one year we lost four family members, including my grandmother. Some may wonder why so many in such a short time. I do not know. However I do know that God is in control of everything, and that "all things work together for good for those who love the Lord who are called according to His purpose" Romans 8:28. And I look forward to the day when we will all be reunited in heaven!!

We all go through hard times in life, including losing loved ones. Some may be tempted to blame God, especially when losing loved ones. But I am reminded of the Bible says...

"Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this? "

Wayne Hooper. Composer

Many of us in the church know Wayne Hooper. For some, a personal knowledge. For the rest, and for all, we know him by the song, "We Have This Hope", as he was both the author and composer. Wayne Hooper passed away this past thursday, Feb 28 in his home. Wayne Hooper contributed very much to the church, especially in the area of music. We have lost a man who devoted so much to serving God through music. He will be missed by all.

I have only enough time to post one thing..... Everybody will want to keep March 23 & 24 free. Why? Steve Wohlberg will be at my old home church, West Covina Hills SDA. He will be speaking Friday, March 23 (time to be determined), and Sabbath March 24 at 11AM, 3PM and 6PM. As I find out more information, I will try to keep you posted.

Sad news, but great news!!!....

As I was listening to the news today, sad news came about James Kim. He and his family were on their way back from a Thanksgiving vacation in Portland to home in San Francisco. ( I think on their way home.) Their car got stuck in the snow. After a few days, James Kim decided to risk his own life and venture out by himself to find help for his wife and two daughters. His family was spotted and rescued, but they could not find James. They have been searching for days, and, unfortunately, earlier today they found his body at the bottom of a canyon.

James Kim went out by himself against what was out there to try to find help for his family. He risked, and unfortunately, lost his own life for them. I am reminded of another person, who against the toughest conditions, not lost, but gave up His own life so that so many more could live. Jesus willingly gave up His own life so that we would not have to die. He offers it as a free gift to all mankind. Open to absoutely anybody. All we need to do is accept it by faith.
Won't you ask Him for that free gift today?? He is waiting, just waiting, for you to respond. It cost Him everything. It is not too late!

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.

DV Expo...
The Digital Video Expo was held last week from November 12-17. But the exhibits were only from the 15th to the 17th. There was a lot to see. Of course me being a tech geek, I went straight to the main booths, Sony, Canon, Panasonic, and JVC. I went there with Curtis Farnham and Aimie Aipigian on behalf of Creators Call. Lots of magazines picked up. I got a really cool DVD that normally sells for $250 for free. Very nice.....

I have alot to do today, so here are just a few things to keep you updated.

My ASL midterm went all right, by God's help. I kept thinking that I should trust in God. Boy did that help out!! Praise to Him alone!!

Tim has a new update on his blog!! Wow. Sorry, Tim. Welcome back to the blogging world. :)

School has now come to the end of the 8th week for me. Half way through the semester. Mixed thoughts about that. I am glad that I am continuing on with school, but I like my classes and my professors, esp. my Precalculus class and professor. My last 'new' class starts on Monday so we shall see what will happen there.

My cousin celebrated her 23rd birthday yesterday. Yay!! My aunt and uncle had a party at their house for her. It was cool.

There is something new that has started up and I have been asked to be one of the "team heads". I will share more about this later, but for now please pray for this whole new venture and for all of us involved.

With the holidays coming around soon things can get hectic, especially for those who are students with finals exams and projects and stuff. As a fellow student I know that it may get hard to focus with so much on our plate. Even though we may have so much to do, whether it be studies, projects, work, family life, or whatever may be on our plate, please remember, that we serve a God who is always there to help us. "Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved" (Psalms 55:22).

But we need to spend time with Him. Please do not neglect your quiet time with Him, whether or not it be in the morning, afternoon, or in the evening. Talk to Him, share with Him what is going on. Trust me, when you share with God the things on your heart, and ask Him to help, you will be surprised and relieved.

I just wanted to post a reminder both for myself, and for anybody else out there that may need it.

Please, never forget that God is on your side. He loves you so very much. More than any other being in the entire universe could. He is right there wanting to help you, but He will never force himself on you. Just ask Him for help. He has done so much for each and every one of us that, well, sometimes words can not describe.

Whenever things may be looking down, just talk to Him. Ask Him for strength, guidance, and for more faith in Him. Believe me, He will come through!!

Freedom From Fear 2006 has come to a close. Aawww....... But Praise God that we had 28 baptisms with more people asking and looking into baptism. YAY!!!!! For those who were unable to make it to the meetings, do not despair. You can listen to them and download them for free at www.freedomfromfear2006.org, and at www.audioverse.org.

These meetings were a real blessing to those who came. I would like to ask that you please pray for Pastor Skeete. He is in Africa, Kenya, I think, leading in a evangelistic series out there. Thanks.

Just some news 'n stuff to keep you updated...

The Most Amazing Prophecies seminar has been going well. Pastor Batchelor is really hitting the prophecies in the Bible. The series has passed the halfway mark, but there is still time for you to watch. For more info, visit the M.A.P website.

Freedom From Fear 2006 has also been going well. The recordings of the meetings have been going well, according to my friend Mark. The topic sermons can be listened to and downloaded free from Audioverse and the Freedom From Fear 2006 website.

We have a new director of Advent H.O.P.E. Tim stepped down and now Jason Shives has stepped up. Tim thanks for all that you have done for us. Jason, I wish you the Lord's blessings and wisdom as you now 'take the lead'.

School is going ok. My class schedule is ok except for one class, which meets no where near the times of any of my other classes. It is not too bad though.

My friend Mark in a sense sold his computer and bought a new one. It's really nice. He uses it primarily for ministry work which is a really good thing. Mark if you are reading this, when are you going to get your Mac?

A good friend of mine Michael starts at UCLA this upcomming monday. He is going for his Ph.D in history. He moved in most of his stuff last week. I wish I could have helped him. Check out his webpage. He claims to not be a professional student, but I am not so sure...

Norman posted up something that caught my attention earlier this afternoon. I'll let everyone read it for themselves. Maybe I will post something here about that later. Speaking of Norman, he comes up with really cool things. I wonder how he does that.

Now that we have hit September, the weather is getting cooler. Yay!

Once again, I find myself with lots of things that I need to do. However I found out that my blog's old template design somehow got changed or altered or something, so I decided for now that I would go to a simpler one until they get my old one fixed. I hope they do, I liked that one.

Anyhow, here are some things that have been going on.

Freedom From Fear 2006 has been going on for about a week now. Pastor Skeete's messages are good. For those who live in the area, I really hope that you can all make it to the Sturges Center. For those who can not make it, you can listen to his topics for free on Audioverse. There is still time to come! It is not too late!! Come and be blessed by the messages being shared!!

The Most Amazing Prophecies begins tonight. I also would like to encourage all you of you to watch. For those who would like, you can watch them on both 3ABN and Hope Channel via both tv and the internet. Just go to their respective websites and follow the links.

There is other stuff but for sakes of time, I will post more later. I would like to ask one thing. Please keep these ministries, and other ministries that are going on right now in your prayers.

Hello to all.

I can only give tidbits of what has happened lately. But before that I must apologize for not posting recently. I need to watch out that I do not get the "Tim" syndrome (j/k).

I went to SWYC and it was cool. It was nice to be in the mountains. Hopefully I can share some pictures later.

School starts for me tomorrow. Yay..... :Our dog is doing much better nowadays. Yay... :)

I noticed that both the Advent HOPE website, and the Audioverse website got renovations. Cool.

There are two big things coming up real soon. Freedom From Fear 2006 & Most Amazing Prophecies. I would like to ask that you keep both of these seminars in your prayers. Esp. Freedom From Fear.

It has been almost 5 months since my family suffered a huge loss. It has been real tough for some members of my family, especially one in particular. Please keep this one person, as well as our family in your prayers. Thanks.

Again I thank you for all of your prayers for the people and things that I have asked you to pray about. I just remembered what the Bible says in James 5:16b, " The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. "

Stuff for August 3, 2006

First, I would like to again ask that you please keep two families in your prayers. The Saknit family and the Ziprick family. Both have lost loved ones over the past week, after their loved ones were sick for a while. For those of you who have kept up with my Xanga site, you may remember a post about a friend of mine, Art, who passed away back in March. And now, four months later, Art's wife has passed away. A trying time for both families.

I know that I ask you to pray for a lot of people, and I thank you for those prayers.

In other news...

Ok, here is the next biggest thing to report (maybe the biggest thing for my sister). Some of you may know already that we have a puppy. We have had her for about two months now. Her name is 'Noche', which is Spanish for 'night'. Anyhow, yesterday afternoon we had a scare at home. Noche jumped to try to get a bird and landed wrong, and ended up hurting her leg. Where in her leg I do not know. My sister, Ivy, was really worried. She at first thought that Noche had broken her leg, because after Noche landed she was crying really loud and could not move her leg. My sister and I were the only ones at home when it happened. Ivy then picked her up and held/carried her to comfort her. We then called our mom at work and found out that we had to wait until both my parents got home to take her to the vet. For one hour my sister carried/held our puppy to comfort her. Ivy ended up sitting on the couch carrying for our puppy in her arms/in her lap for an hour. One thing I should add, whenever an animal gets hurt, you can be sure my sister is right there crying with it and doing her best to comfort it.

Well long story short, (I know it's too late for that...), our parents came home, and they with my sister and Noche went to the animal emergency room and found out she only had a sprain and came home that night. Yay!! She is now here at home resting, and walking/limping on three legs now. According to the vet, it will take about two to four days to heal completely. In the meantime, she is taking it easy and with her medicine, is resting nicely most of the day.

My friends Tim and Norman have both posted reminders that are very much needed. You might want to see their blogs. Oh, Tim, I still do not know how to get to your house...

Another friend of mine, Michael, will be leaving for UCLA soon. He will be attending there to get his PhD in History. Yay for Michael! Oh, and Michael, if you are reading this, when exactly do you leave?

Stuff for July 30, 2006

This past Thursday, some friends of mine and I went over to Market night here in Redlands to help with a 'survey'. It was a survey. We were using to do some ground work for the Freedom From Fear 2006 crusade. I do not think I did that great of a job, but I am told that at least I tried.

My friend James is doing better. He is walking better now, but will need to undergo some more surgeries. Please pray for him.

If anybody knows how to get to Tim's house, please let me know...

Sfuff for July 25, 2006

First I would like to ask that you please keep a friend of mine and his family in your prayers. His name is Jesse. He has a lot on his mind. I just found out today that back on father's day, his mom suffered a seizure. She can not drive right now, but is doing ok, according to Jesse. He had some scans done, MRI, CAT scan, and others and they are expecting the results soon. Also one of Jesse's aunts lives in New York, and she has a skin disease.

In other stuff... The heat wave continues..... For those of you who do not live in Southern California, yay for you. We are in the middle of a heat wave with temperatures in the high 90's to the mid to even high 100's. Ugh........ How does one keep cool? Air conditioning, swimming pools, vegan ice cream, the normal stuff. Or one could go over to Tim Arakawa's new house...

This is really big. I just remembered something that I should have posted earlier had I remembered it.

"On February 11, a film crew from the National Geographic Media Department arrived at Sacramento Central Church to record Sabbath services and to interview with Pastor Doug regarding the book of Revelation.
